Our Sun

Lies thrive when the truth refuses to speak;
Deathly rumors permeate our land under the beady watch of silence
Deception thrives in secrecy
Evil magnifies itself in darkness; where there is no light and the people are void of illumination
“Let there be light” he commands!
The day shall come; nigh it is
When the daystar shall arise in our hearts and illumination shall come
When our beautiful Sun shall rise in her majesty; she will set our hearts ablaze with fury
Our heads shall be as balls of fire; in our eyes the unmistakable glow of pride
The fierce pride of our Sun
The stars are out . . . rising in the wake of their Sun and master
Twinkly dimply stars they are, all shy and sparkly. They’ll illuminate our paths and chase darkness out of our land; out of our water; out of our homes.
The stars will pitch their tent with us. We will gaze on their kingly appearance and have our fill of their beauty…
Our stars are indeed beautiful; in their eyes we see the bright lights of heaven; beautifully cast teeth . . . perfect pearls in soft mounds of earthy brown gums
And our Sun shines with pride; the fierce, unapologetic pride of a mother
